Weighing the Options

Option 1 would require our troops to stay at the current strength level for a few more years, yet would result in the most peaceful resolution to the regional conflicts.
Option 2 would bring our troops home quicker, but would result in a temporary uprising in Pakistan due to lost real estate.
Option 3 would require our troops presence there for a few generations, and would also require re-instating the draft in order to keep the troop levels up. Which option would be the most fortuitous for our nation and in the Afghani Paki region?

Maybe all these countries would be willing to sign up for a whole new deal and send our troops home immediately: Haymarkistan?

Haymarkistan, if I be reading your post properlyly, existed as the Afghani kingdom, once upon a tyme before 1893.

Now, what we watch and learn on television has to be filtered thru rose coloured glasses, so the ignorance of the majority of our populace keeps folks warm and cozy.
The hard pill to swallow is that, if ANY American thinks that Victory or our Exit Strategy requires that region to return to the peace it had before 1979, AND preserve the present day Political Boundaries; then they are completely delusional.
A bunch of geniuses went around the middle east after World War I, created boundaries, and defined areas where, "You're over here, they're over there."
The British defined the present day Paki-Afghani border back in 1893. Until the 4th president of Pakistan, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto came to power the area called Pashtunistan was to be ceded back to the Afghani Kingdom or become a separate state altogether in 1993--it was in Pakistan's constitution. Bhutto erased it.
Desperate for an exit strategy from India the British partitioned the Western area of India creating West Pakistan in 1947. Pashtunistan's upcoming independence was never in question, and it was placed in Pakistan's constitution at the tyme of partition.
All this being said, andy; it still puzzles me why a lot westerners believe that there is something holy about preserving the present day political boundaries there. The present day political boundaries are one of the main reasons there is conflict there today.
If the goal is to decimate the Taliban, how can that goal ever be achieved, when our own allies in this War are actually funding and arming the Taliban, and sending them across the border to fight us?
Re-Partinioning the entire region is the ONLY way to achieve peace there.
And the railroad? One of the many reasons Bush & Co. put Iran on our Emeny list was: Iran has a huge amount of Oil & Gasoline reserves (that we & the UK used to exploit); yet the country is expanding its Passenger Rail infrastructure--at a rate 2nd only to China.

I figured as much. Cain't take the heat so he went outside with the lil' puppies. No way to come up with an original opinion nor any thoughts of their own, for a true Neo-Con must be led. They MUST watch ole Rush boy to see which way his wind's blowing; and if flavored with Limbaugh flatua, then all the more sacred.
